Chaharmezrab-e Shur Habib Samayee:

This piece is a part of famous Chaharmezrabs for Santour
that in Shahnaz Shur page with Parvaneh song has
performed and recorded. Base of this Chaharmezrab then
was the sample for many pieces and other Chaharmezrab
and then completed and complicated forms where added to
it. In primitive case of this base as a simple or
Pamalakhi Mezrab and Teryole and then these to Domezrab
Chap are used.
From this Chaharmezrab several narratives such as
Abolhassan Saba , Hossien Saba, Ghobad Zafar,Mehdi
Nazemi,… that you can pay attention to short parts of
these two narratives.

Performing of these Chaharmezrab in latter step is as
following.

Of course this piece has been performed with former
adjusting by artists such as Saba, Faramarz payvar,
Majid kiyani, Reza Shafiean, Mehdi Nazemi, and Ghobad
Zafar… during many years.
As we said this piece has been structural type of
Chaharmezrab and little by little has been more
complicated.
One of these notes is Chaharmezrab -e shur from "Faramarz
Payvar" in "Thirty Pieces" book which is influenced by
this piece with completed from and modern structure is
presented.
For observing structural characteristics of this piece
at first we will evaluate two former basic steps of this
Chaharmezrab.
At the most simple and primitive basic step this
Chaharmezrab is as the following.

In next step we can add Sarmezrab (one of the performing
and specific techniques of Santour) to this base so the
note and its performing will be as the following.

Now we can get used of Domezrab Chap instead of one
Mezrab Chap which it can be used in two ways.
1. Pamalakhi Mezrab as Teryole (Chaharmezrab is used in
this way in Thirty Pieces Book)
2. Domezrab Chap in this way is return two final notes
with left Mezrab performing as Selachang (thirty second
note).
Now pay attention to the note and main performing of a
part of Chaharmezrab-e Shur from Faramarz Payvar.

Many years after making this Chaharmezrab by Faramarz
Payvar another Chaharmezrab was composed by Parviz
Meshkatian which was similar to this base and its
structure and statement was completely influence under
the effect of this work. Chaharmezrab -e Shur base from
Parviz Meshkatian is can be performed in some ways which
there cases of it is evaluated for performing place of
Domezrab Chap.
In the first case we can perform Domezrab on the Sol at
the white side which its structure is completely similar
to Chaharmezrab of Thirty Pieces from Faramarz Payvar.
The note and performing of this piece this base is as
the following.

In the second case we can perform Domezrab Chap on the
Sol the back of Kharak (a piece of Santour instrument).

In the third case Domezrab Chap is changeable on Sol
note and Kharak back.

Now after these three cases pay attention to a part of
note and basic performing of Chaharmezrab-e Shur
composed by Parviz Meshkatian.

We understand that these two pieces are the same in
structure and performing form. So we are going to
compare two statements of both Chaharmezrab, till we
result that statement structure of these two works are
composed depend on a Mezrabi structure.
Pay attention to this sentence and type of Mezrabs
(plectrums) from Chaharmezrab-e Shur from Faramarz
Payvar.
